Sold!

Our house has been on the market less than a week, and it has sold! We just finished signing the papers this morning.

After a couple rounds of negotiation we accepted an offer for just a little less than our asking price!

At the latest we will be out of the house at the end of June and STL bound!

It's Official!!!

The papers are signed, the pictures are taken, the signs have been put out. Our house is officially on the market!!!! Woo hoo! Now if we can just find a job...

Here are some of the pictures (although they really do not begin to do justice) of the hard work that has gone into the house. There has been spackiling, and painting of walls, ceilings, and all of the trim, caulking restoring, sewing, planting, and so much more!!!

For all of our friends and family that will never see our first home (that would be all of you) here is your tour.

We have a baby!

Well not "we" persay. Matt and Christy do, which makes us the proud uncle, aunt and cousin to the beautiful Madeline Faye Kelly. She was born April 24, around 8:15, was 7lb.4oz. and 20 inches long. She has beautiful red hair and blue eyes. We are counting down the days until we get to hold her (15). After seeing the pictures Josh looked at me and said "Go, airplane, baby Maddy?" When I asked him if he wanted to go on an airplane to see baby Maddy he said yes. How he knew we needed to get on an airplane to see her, I'll never know!

Christy ended up having to have a c-section so please be praying for her smooth recovery.

Well, we finally had to make our first trip to the emergency room. I must say, I'm a little surprised it took this long. Josh loves running around, which is great, he just has a small problem of sometimes paying attention to his feet, or other people, instead of where he is going. That is how we ended up in the ER. He ran full speed into a corner. We didn't just have to have stitches, no, when Josh does something he does it right. They had to call in a plastic surgeon to give him three layers of stitches, the top layer having 10. Here are some pictures of the damage. Please pray our child doesn't look like a pirate for the rest of his life!

A quick update: We are in the midst of preparations for a move back to St. Louis. Yeah! The ideal goal right now is to be back in STL before late June. Of course there is a lot up in the air, like selling our house, buying another house, and Chris getting a job, all of which could greatly change our plan, but that is the goal.

We are working a lot to fix up our house to get it ready to sell. I hope to put some before and after pictures up soon of all our hard work. We have to finish first though!

We plan to be in STL at the beginning of May (no set dates yet, other than the weekend of the 12th). During that time we hope to spend plenty of time with our new niece, find a new house, see Arnold graduate with his MBA and spend time with friends and family.

Please be praying for us as this is proving to be a fairly stressful process. Also if anyone knows of any commercial lending or credit analyst type jobs, we would be very appreciative of the help!

I don't know if you all watch the news or not, but if you do, I am sure that you have heard of the shooting in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As some of you know, we went out to Utah to celebrate Chris' grandparents 50th wedding anniversary.

To make a long story short, we were in Trolley Square (where the shooting happened) in the exact places where people were killed, only 2 1/2 hours prior to the incident.

Pretty crazy to think just how closely God holds you in His hands sometimes...

We finally got our first sprinkling of snow yesterday! Here are a couple pics of Josh playing in it.

I've been baking cookies this week, and Josh has been enjoying them. Thought I would post a pic of our little cookie monster!

I'm a bad poster. It's been over a month now, I apologzie. My interenet time has been occupied with my new favorite social community- facebook. Hooray for catching up with old friends!

Since I had written, we have been to St. Louis, had Thanksgiving and put up the Christmas tree, and realized that Connecticut really does suck, thus the nickname for our great state, Connectisuck. With this realization comes lots of pondering, I do most of this pondering over on my xanga site, so you can feel free to check out that at xanga.com/ktsue510.

If any one has any ideas of ways they get into the Christmas spirit, or any really great christmas music, I would love to hear ideas. Connecticut doesn't seem to be big on cheer period, let alone Christmas cheer, and with the great sparseness of decorations, I'm having a little difficulty getting my Christmas spirit going on.

Seriously, who knew? Our kid LOVES coffee! He throws a fit if we stop by Starbucks, and on the way home he can't have any. I don't know where he could have gotten that from (Matt). We only give him decaf though. More for our sake than for his. It's gotten so bad, we have to get him one of his own or else he drinks all ours. Well here are some pictures of him enjoying his favorite brew.

Sorry, I've been a bad poster recently. We've been running around as usual. This past weekend we ran up to Boston. It's only 2 hours with traffic, and very easy, pretty drive. And we like Boston it's pretty. We can't wait to go back and explore all the historical places. This weekend we just went to the zoo. (St. Louis plug: I didn't realize just how cool the Lou is in this area until now, but we have all this amazing stuff for kids, and it's free!!! Boston zoo is $9.50 an adult and compared to St. Louis zoo was kind of dilapidated looking, oh well... maybe we'll try the Bronx zoo next.)
Josh had fun, although unless an animal is moving he doesn't take much notice of it. He's easily entertained seeing as how a dog is his favorite animal. Geez, we should have just taken him to the pound... He's in this really cute stage right now where he kisses everything all the time. Like he kissed my knee 5 times tonight, and whenever he talks on the phone he keep kissing the phone too, it's really cute. That's about all that's going on with us right now. We had a wonderful weekend! It was an unusually warm weekend, which was very nice considering I had just about frozen the week before. Winter should be quite interesting here.

We decided to go apple and peach picking at Lyman Orchards outside of Hartford. It was forecasted to rain, but God blessed us with a beautiful sunny day! Josh loved pulling the fruit off the trees. So much so we had to drop a few that were bad that he plucked off before we could catch him. He also learned a lesson about hills. He took off running and we kept yelling at him to stop and come back but he went over to a hill and ran right down, his little legs couldn't keep up and he fell face first into the grass. We could hardly catch our breath from laughing so hard. Don't worry we're not bad parents, he wasn't hurt, and didn't even cry. I would give anything to have a video of that!

On Sunday we went to another church. That was kind of sad. Churches here are REALLY behind the times and don't have very good teaching. It's kind of depressing. If you get a chance pray for us that we could find a church that we at least want to go to.

After that we went to the second mall in town (that still amazes me, only 2 malls in a town this size!). It was more like the malls we're used to, unlike the one by us. It was nice to find a place with all our favorite stores. They even have a Red Robin! Josh made out like bandit with all his cool new clothes. Chris and I decided that we're living vicariously through him. Hey, if we can't look good, at least he will!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and is enjoying fall, the best season of the year. The leaves just started changing here, but as soon as they reach their peak we'll be sure to post some pictures, but for now, you'll have to settle for pictures of Josh!

Sorry for the delay in posting again! We've only been in town one day out of the last 2 weeks. Crazy! The reason we've been gone is because we have been seeing visitors! This past weekend Matt and Christy (brother and sister-in-law for those of you who don't know) came in town, and the weekend before that Chris's grandparents came in town. And when I say town I mean New Jersey, at Chris's parents, that's why we weren't home.

It was nice to see some familiar faces, but I think it almost made coming home a little harder. We had an especially exciting time with Matt and Christy their announcement upon arrival that they were pregnant gave even more energy to the trip. So come the end of April sometime Chris and I get to be an Aunt and Uncle for the the first time and Josh gets a new cousin.

We also managed to survive our first Tropical Storm (Ernesto). Although I think Missouri storms can be more ferocious. It mostly just rained alot, but it delayed Matt and Christy's flight about 3 hours. We went into New York City on Labor Day, that was alot of fun. The more I go there, the more I love the city. I will definetely miss not being able to go there anytime we want.

That's the big stuff for now, I'll try and update more later in the week. Hope everyone had a great long weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend, doing absolutely nothing!!! It's the first time we have done that in a while, and will also be the last for a while. It was kind of rainy here this weekend so we just hung out and watched movies and played with Josh.
Our weekend got an unexpected extension when late Sunday night I bent over and my back basically seized up in major pain (mind you, I have been through childbirth now and do not define major lightly) and wouldn't let me move. It was still bad Monday morning so Chris had to take off work. I went into the chiropractor that afternoon, and he said it's nothing a couple months of work won't fix. Hooray for more bills. Actually he was really good and was finally able to explain to be that I have compression of nerves and acute problems of some sort. So at least now we know what's causing it. Drama.
But that's all the big news on our side of things. Josh is even more expressive in his range of emotions now days (like how tactfully I put that?) Here are some pictures of his expressiveness

And of course, this is his adorable grin. One flash of this, even after he has done something horrible, and mommy and daddy (and anyone else around for that matter) is at his mercy.

No pictures to post for this weekend because Josh was at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I went to the Women of Faith conference here in Hartford, and had a great weekend. Chris was Mr. Productive and got a ton of yard work done, and painted our bedroom. It was another crazy weekend ( I think we've had a month of those), so we're looking forward to relaxing next weekend. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend too!

Whew. We're pooped. In the past week we've only been one night without visitors. After my parents left Chris's came in the next night. But it was very nice to spend time with everyone. Josh is acting like he's pretty pooped too. Either that or he's going through the terrible two's early. Maybe it's a little of both. If you just look at him wrong right now he throws a fit. We managed to get some good pictures while he wasn't fussing though, so here they are. We think Josh likes his new cool hat. He looks like such a little man!

We had a "missing St. Louis" moment when we were watching this show on Food Network called Feasting on Asphalt. They went to Ted Drewe's. While thinking about Ted Drewe's and craving a concrete, I realized that none of the ice cream stores that we've been to here have concretes. Maybe those are a St. Louis thing along with good old toasted raviolis. Well, now we're just left craving concretes, but we're taking offers from anyone who wants to ship us one on dry ice! Missing you all!

We went down to Mystic this weekend. Pretty cool area. Reminds me a little of Branson, except smaller scale, and with a beach! Except it was hot, Hot, HOT! Record highs here are comparable to a normal Missouri day though, so it wasn't anything we weren't used to, but if Joshs' face looks flushed that's why!

It was nice having the parents in. They helped us get alot done around the house!
Our furniture comes in today, Woo Hoo! We'll post pictures after everything is settled.
