Josh got his first big boo-boo yesterday. We were playing around outside and somehow he fell (he's still getting used to walking in shoes). I still don't know how he managed to get his face like that though... But we thought we would display the battle scars of having fun for everyone. So here it is, Joshie's first boo-boo.

So instead of going to the beach this weekend as previously planned, we painted, and painted, and painted! We're going to the beach next weekend, but we needed to paint this weekend since my parents are coming in town next weekend. Yeah our first visitors! And as no one could sleep in the painfully bright yellow that was formerly in our guestroom, we thought we would do them a favor and paint it. And our lime green kitchen. Just so you all get the full experience of these colors, or just want to see pictures of our new house, here is a link of pictures that our realtor took for us. These are pictures of how the previous occupants had it, not us. Alot has already changed, and more is to follow. Since I can't have you all over to show off my all of our work, we will boast virtually as we get different rooms finished. I'll try to post pics of the guest room this week as I get it atleast liveable.

Other than painting not much happened this weekend. Josh almost said "babrbeque". I swear, it was close! Technically speaking we went to church. We drove down to this one that we wanted to try, me in a skirt and heels, and Chris in dress pants and a polo. We drove by and saw people in jeans and sweatshirts, and hula shirts and jean shorts... so needless to say we were WAY overdressed. We didn't want to stick out that badly, or have everyone think we were snobs, so we decided to come back another week in jeans. We probably should have gone in anyways, oh well. We did try!

Well, that's all for now. Would love to hear from some of you! We're getting lonely! Love you and miss you all!

Josh got a haircut this week, it's the shortest it has ever been. Daddy got a little buzz happy.

It's been a long week here in Hartford. Now that all the unpacking is done and most of the settling in stuff finished, it's more recognizable that you're not "home". We live in a great area where there are lots of cool little restaurants and shops, but it just makes me want to be able to go hang out with friends and family, and I don't have any here! But hopefully we will meet some people soon.

We went down to the center area on Friday (where all the cool shops are) which is just a minute away and had some Maggie Moo's after dinner, then we came back up to a park that's right around the corner from our house. Josh loves parks, he gets so excited when he just sees them, especially the swings. In case you're wondering what the black things on his legs are, he has some difficulty going down slides because his feet stop him, so Chris took his socks off and put them on him so he could slide down properly. Gross and yet sweet at the same time...

Well I think that's the gist of our week, hope everyone is doing well!

Well we officially have all the boxes upacked! It's definetely starting to feel like home! Chris and I went into NYC on Sunday as an anniversary celebration. It was great, we can't wait to go back. It was pretty cool too we were in the middle of Times Square and there was this big stage set up, and it turns out to be a gospel concert along with prayer time for the city of New York. God must have been making sure we got a little church in since we skipped it that morning!
